Conor Luksik. Who I am.

Coming from a family that loves to travel, I fell in love with nature and photography. Constantly striving for the perfect shot turned me into a bit of a perfectionist where I am always demanding nothing but the best from myself. These traits helped me become passionate about the greatest team sport: crew; where I excelled as a coxswain, rower, and team leader. From these early passions and traits, and always searching for a way to satisfy them lead me to my current career path. I am currently an senior undergrad student working on my degree in Parks & Resource Management, and a minor in Environmental Communication & Heritage Interpretation.

I am proud to say that when I start to work on something, I want to see it through till the end and make it the best at whatever the project is. Because I want all of my projects to be perfect, I have taught myself how to use a number of different programs that make it much easier to produce my vision. When I was asked to make an end of the year slideshow for my crew team during my senior year of high school, I learned Adobe Premier for the project. It is still one of my favorite creations to this day.

Despite it being a couple of years removed at this point, I still think of rowing a big part of who I am. One of my biggest accomplishments from that time was qualifying for the Stotesbury Cup Regatta. This is one of the biggest regattas in the world with thousands of crews at attending. My boat fought hard for a 7th place finish in the semifinals after several heats and nearly 200 opposing boats.

More recently, I spent a week camping out and photographing Acadia National Park in Maine. Over this past summer, also, I secured an internship with Franklin Park Borough Department of Parks and Recreation where I worked tirelessly to fit in and complete both my practicum and Internship for my major.

As I am finishing up my schooling at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and in my final semester, I am constantly looking for ways to improve my self and my works through any opportunity I can find. I am looking for a good place to start my career and I am eager to see where in the world it will take me next.
